Winners will be announced on Wiscontrepreneur.org at 12:00 noon CDT on Monday, April 28, 2008.

  4. Submission Format And Content Requirements
    1. The Challenge Assignment

Entrants will compete by using their Entry Voucher obtained by download from the Challenge website to make a purchase of any item or items at UWSWAP having a collective value of up to but not exceeding $10.00. Using the item(s) purchased with the Entry Voucher, Entrants proceed to develop a Submission that creates some kind of value from the item(s) purchased. Value will be measured and judged solely in terms of the three Challenge categories by the panel of Challenge judges. Each Entrant may make only one Submission and Submissions must be based primarily on items purchased with the Entry Voucher.

    2. Judging

Submissions will be evaluated equally on the following criteria:

      • Most potential value (money) generated
      • Most potential social value generated
      • Most creative

The determinations of the judges are final and binding.

    3. Technical Requirements

Submissions must be contained within either:

      • A video up to 2 minutes in length
      • 3 digital slides (e.g. Powerpoint or similar).
      • 3 digital photos
    4. Additional Requirements
      1. Submissions must be in English.
      2. Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, remove, delete and/or disqualify Submissions deemed to be inappropriate, illegal or non–compliant with these Rules any time during the judging phase.
      3. The person who exchanges the Challenge Entry Voucher at the time of purchase from UWSWAP will be deemed the Official Representative of the Entrant. Each Entrant shall register using a wisc.edu domain email address at the time of accepting the Challenge Entry Voucher. Students may only participate once in this Challenge; e.g., multiple Entries or participation on more than one Entry Team is prohibited. Any dispute regarding the identity of an Entrant will be resolved in favor of the individual who is the holder of the registered wisc.edu email address issued by UW–Madison.
      4. If a team of individuals elects to collaborate on a Submission, each team member must register at the time of exchange of the Challenge Voucher with their name and wisc.edu email address (it is recommended that all members of the team be present at time the Challenge Voucher is exchanged for a purchase but if a member of a team cannot be present, he/she may be registered by the team’s Official Representative provided all required information can be supplied). At the time of Voucher exchange, the team must designate one (1) person as the Official Representative of the team for the purpose of all subsequent communications with the team in connection with the Challenge. Each team participant must agree to these Rules. Any prize(s) will be awarded to the Official Representative on behalf of the team. 6. Each Submission must be the work of the Entrant or Entrant Team and must not contain any copyrighted materials (other than as owned by the Entrant). In particular, a Submission may not incorporate elements of audiovisual works copyrighted by others. Any elements appearing in a Submission, including without limitation, music, audio, speech/voiceovers, stills, video, supers, or other audiovisual materials used must be entirely original, created and performed by the Entrant or the Entrant Team, or be in the public domain, or be legally downloadable from a Web Site specified by the Entrant. Use of any elements, including, without limitation, music, audio, speech/voiceovers, video, stills, visuals, or other materials that are not original, in the public domain, or legally downloadable from a specified Web Site may result in disqualification of Submission, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

All Submissions will be screened for content before being judged; however, such review does not relieve Entrant from responsibility for compliance with these Official Rules. Submissions that do not comply with these Official Rules or that otherwise contain prohibited or inappropriate content as determined by the Sponsor, in its sole discretion, will be disqualified and will not be published on the Wiscontrepreneur.org website or considered for a category prize. All Finalists are subject to verification of eligibility, compliance with these Rules and completion and execution of the release forms described below. If Sponsor’s attempt to notify a Finalist is not deliverable, or if a Finalist cannot be verified, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate Finalist.

Entrants agree that the Sponsor has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this Challenge and that all decisions of Sponsor are final and binding. Finalists, by acceptance of a Category Prize, agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor and Related Challenge Parties, as well as each of their respective parent and affiliated entities, and each of their employees, representatives and contractors from any and all liability, loss, damage, cost or claim related to any allegation regarding the acceptance or use of their prize, including but not limited to the public announcement(s) about the Submission.
